Introduction
Although it is commonly referred to as the "soft side of
change," managing people is typically the most difficult and crucial
aspect of an organizational transition.
Consider a merger or acquisition. The technological aspects of
the change are undoubtedly complicated. You must negotiate the deal's financial
terms, integrate company systems, decide on the new organization's structure,
and more. Getting individuals on board and participating in the merger or
acquisition, can make the difference between success and failure

Change Management as a Process
The change management process enables practitioners inside
businesses to leverage and scale change management activities that assist
impacted individuals and groups in transitioning. The Prosci 3-Phase Method is
a strong, research-based process included in the Prosci Methodology

2.1 During Phase 1 – Prepare Approach, we ask and answer:
2.1.1 What are we attempting to accomplish?
2 .1.2 Who must perform their tasks differently and how?
2.1.3 What would it take for you to be successful?
2.2 During Phase 2 – Manage Change, we ask and answer:
2.2.1 What will we do to ensure that people are prepared, supported, and engaged?
2.2.2 How are we doing?
2.2.3 What modifications are required?
2.3 And during Phase 3 – Sustain Outcomes, we ask and answer:
2.3.1 Now, where are we? Are we done yet?
2.3.2 What are the requirements for ensuring that the change is sustained?
2.3.3 Who will take responsibility for the outcome and maintain it?

Why do we need Change Management?
Organizations fight the battle of competition in today's
competitive business environment by improving their adaptive capacities and
readiness to deal with change challenges. In today's climate, top management
places a high value on change management and the necessity to be flexible and
adaptable in order to deal with growing environmental uncertainties or
competitive threats

Conclusion
So the requirements are well defined, effective change management processes assist firms in better understanding changing customer needs and achieving their requests and expectations. Change management, when implemented properly, has no impact on an organization's day-to-day operations; rather, it works in parallel.

ReplyDeleteManaging organisational changes are complex. HRM should clearly communicate what are the reasons for a specific change. HR Division have to work closely with employees and need to set accurate goals to manage changes.
